Musings

I've been thinking all week about things I need to blog. Then I sit down to actually do it and I can't remember a dang thing. Lame. That's been happening a lot lately. I always have that awful lingering feeling that you are forgetting something important. That tends to come from repeated instances of actually forgetting important things. For example, every Thursday night for almost a year now, I have taught yoga at 10 pm. The worst feeling in the world is waking up at 11:05, realizing that your 20 minute pre-yoga catnap turned in to a full 2 hours and you've missed class. Whoops. Thank goodness that only happened twice... or so. Or there was one time Eric and I got home from a really fun date around 11 only to remember that it was Thursday and we had completely forgotten about yoga. Geez. Hence, that feeling of "I must be forgetting something" that ALWAYS sticks with me these days.

Last night I had the privilege of speaking at our ward's quarterly Enrichment meeting about service. It was really fun and I enjoyed doing it. The best part is, during the talk I happened to look at a girl who was saying "She's so cute!" to the girl next to her. And shortly thereafter, another girl said, "She's really funny." It's always nice to overhear people saying nice things about you.

So, Eric just finished his first week back to school and I experienced my first September of no school in 17 years. Weird. After having to drop 2 classes the first day of school, Eric came home and sat down with me and worked out an entirely new schedule. Oh and a new major. He's now "Exercise Science" instead of "Exercise and Wellness." Basically, he switched to the harder version of the major that he already was. This will make him more marketable and a better candidate for grad school or whatever he ends up wanting to do.

Anyway, Eric finally got Mario Party to work so I gotta go!

You are "so cute" and "funny". I love reading your blog. And lest you think you are the only one who has that lingering feeling of forgetting something, think again. I have perfected the art!
Did you "script" your talk on service? I would love a copy if you did.
Way to go Eric. I am glad you are figuring it out as you go along, but learning so much in the process.
Keep us "posted." (Now these are true words, not just a catchy phrase!)
